This site is the venue of my collection of special and ordinary Philippine and American dishes. For the last 55 years, My wife, Macrine Nieva Jambalos Katague had been the boss in the Kitchen. However, when she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2013, I have to take over her cooking duties. I have been enjoying cooking and this proves that one is never too old to learn new things in life.

My Own Creation- Hot and Sour Soup with Seared/Sliced Scallops
I ordered a Vegetarian ( Tufo) Hot and Sour Soup from my Favorite Chinese Restaurant nearby recently. I ordered a big bowl good for three servings so I have a left over. In my Freezer I have 3 pieces of seared scallops left over from my Christmas Eve Dinner at Newton's. The next day, I decide to slice the seared scallops and add it to my thawed left over Hot and Sour Soup. I mixed the concoction and heated it for 2 minutes. then added a little water, garlic salt with parsley and a dash of powdered black pepper to taste. It was delicious and spicy enough for me.
Here are simple recipes for you to do, if you feel like cooking. In my case, I had 2 leftover dishes and I just mixed it. It turned out super good to my surprise.https://www.howtocook.recipes/classic-seared-scallops-recipe/
